Srinagar, August 11 (KNS):The administration of Lal Ded (LD) Hospital in Srinagar has assured the public that there is no shortage of space for attendants, highlighting their commitment to upgrading services as required. This statement came in response to a post on social media by a concerned citizen regarding the lack of space for eating food at the hospital.
Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Muzaffar Jan clarified that the 710-bedded Government LD Hospital experiences a high influx of patients and attendants daily, being the only tertiary care maternity hospital in the Kashmir Division. The hospital serves not just the local population but also receives patients from other districts of Kashmir, as well as from Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
To accommodate this rush, the hospital administration has made arrangements for patients and their attendants, including two canteens, two sarais (lodges), and two open parks that are also used for dining purposes. "There is no constraint or shortage of space for attendants," said Dr. Jan, adding that the hospital also maintains a park dedicated solely to beautification and tranquility.
The hospital authorities are well aware of the issues faced by patients and their attendants and are continuously working on upgrading services to meet these needs. Dr. Jan also urged people to limit the number of attendants accompanying patients to ensure that sanitation and patient care are not compromised by unnecessary crowding.(KNS)
