Srinagar, Feb 8: Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has claimed that she and her mother have been placed under house arrest, with their gates locked by authorities.
In a post on X, Iltija Mufti stated, "My mother & I both have been placed under house arrest. Our gates have been locked up because she was meant to visit Sopore where Waseem Mir was shot dead by the army.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelI intended to visit Kathua today to meet Makhan Din’s family & am not being allowed to even move out. Nothing has changed in Kashmir even after elections. Now even comforting the families of victims is being criminalised."
She alleged that despite the completion of elections, restrictions on political activities and movement remain unchanged in the Kashmir (KNS)
