Kishtwar, Oct 17(KNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Mulwarwan village in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, where 68 houses were damaged by fire last week.

During his visit, Abdullah oversaw the ongoing rehabilitation and relief efforts for the fire victims.

He announced the establishment of two fire stations in Marwah and Warwan, equipped with adequate fire tenders, to prevent future incidents of this nature.

"The village has suffered significant loss. It is our responsibility to support you. We will rebuild your homes and fulfill your demands as soon as possible.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe will explore all possible ways to help," Abdullah assured the villagers.

He also announced that ambulances would be provided to the community, and a special recruitment drive would be initiated to create employment opportunities for the youth.

Abdullah said the administration is considering providing assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to help the villagers rebuild their homes.

“It is my duty to reconstruct their homes… homes will be rebuilt along with concrete bathrooms,” he said.(KNS).
