Srinagar, Sep 30 (KNS): J&K Peoples Conference has strongly condemned the brutal attack on its leader, Mushtaq Lohar, in Diver, Lolab. The party sees this attack as an attempt to intimidate the party and exert pressure ahead of tomorrow's polling.
“We strongly condemn the murderous attack on our leader Mushtaq Lohar in Diver. This attack by goons of an Ex minister is meant to put pressure ahead of tommorow’s polling. He emphasised that Diver polling stations have been routinely captured in past elections, and the administration must take immediate action, against those involved in the attack.
“Could we please request the administration to wake up. We demand the immediate arrest of those responsible for this murderous attack and urge the administration to ensure that the upcoming polls are conducted in a free and fair manner," the statement added.(KNS)
