Sumbal, Bandipora, Nov 26 (KNS) : The People's Democratic Party (PDP) Women's Wing on Tuesday organised an important meeting in Sumbal, Bandipora, aimed at strengthening the party's grassroots presence and encouraging wider participation of women in political and social affairs.
According to a press release issued, During the meeting, District President syed sajad ,PDP Executive Member and Social Media Head syed Tajamul islam interacted with local women activists, highlighting the need for active political engagement to address community issues effectively. The leader praised PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, describing her as a visionary leader who has consistently championed the rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly women.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent local leaders from Bandipora district, who expressed confidence that the new committee would energise the party's women cadre and improve political communication in the area. They emphasised that empowering women within the party structure is essential for addressing key social challenges, including education, welfare, and community development.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to enhancing PDP’s organisational presence in Sumbal and creating more platforms for women to participate in democratic processes.(KNS)
