Illegal properties worth crores of 16 notorious drug peddlers also attached

 Baramulla, June 01 (KNS): To destroy the ecosystem of narcotics across north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Police have registered 95 cases under NDPS Act and arrested 171 drug peddlers including 44 hard-core drug peddlers who have been booked under PIT NDPS in the first five months of year 2024.

Police have also seized 15 vehicles which were used for NDPS activities in the district. During the past five months, illegal properties of 16 notorious drug peddlers worth 5.5 crores have also been attached.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.(KNS)
