Srinagar, August 25 (KNS): Police in Shopian seized 03 vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.

A Police party of Police Post Keegam seized 03 vehicles bearing registration numbers JK22B- 9969(JCB), CH No. 2464 & JK13H-3317 (Tractors), indulged in illegal extraction of minerals at Nusipora in the jurisdiction of Police Post Keegam. The vehicles were immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department for seizure and necessary legal action against the vehicle owners & drivers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned Police units.(KNS)
