Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday said thatcelectricity supply in valley has improved since November this year and in coming times it will augment further.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir said the power supply has improved in Kashmir Valley as of now and it will be augmented further in coming times.
He said the directions have been passed to stick schedule issued for metered and non-metered areas. He also said that Lieutenant Governor J&K has already taken up the issue of purchasing more electricity from outside J&K and once the supply is recieved the there will be a huge relief to people.
He appealed people to use electricity judiciously and avoid hooking or power theft.
To a query he said if any one praise developmental projects undertook in city the credit goes to people and everyone who cooperated during works time.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that there are many projects in the pipeline which will be rolled out in a gradual manner to give a new look to the Srinagar city.
"We are mulling to reactivate river transport in city to provide convenience to people. Also electric buses who ply on several routes in the district will be put on roads during night hours also," he said.
He added the authorities are monitoring developmental projects undertaken in city and elsewhere with keenly and are working to complete these projects within the period given for their completion.
"The work on Botengo flyover is underway. Further two major flyover in Srinagar - Bemina and Sanat Nagar - will also be be completed by March and June 2024 respectively. (KNS)
