Gulmarg, Jan 1 (KNS): In a significant move to enhance the safety of skiing activities, the Assistant Director Tourism, Gulmarg, has issued an order prohibiting sledging activities on designated ski slopes. The directive, issued under the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir's tourism department, emphasizes the need for smooth and safe skiing experiences in the region.
According to the order issued by Assistant Director Tourism Gulmarg the sledging activities on ski slopes pose a serious threat to skiers, including children and individuals undergoing skiing lessons. The presence of sledges on these slopes creates confusion and chaos, significantly increasing the likelihood of accidents and mishaps.
To address these concerns, the authorities have directed that sledging be confined to tracks specifically earmarked for the activity, away from the designated ski slopes. This segregation is deemed essential to prevent unfortunate incidents and ensure the safety of all individuals on the slopes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
