Srinagar, 02 September ((KNS): Manzoor Wangnoo, Chairman of the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), in a statement issued expressed his gratitude for attending a crucial meeting called by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department (HU&DD) in her office chambers. The meeting, focused on the restoration of Gilsar and Khushalsar, was also attended by the Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the Vice-Chancellor of the Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA), and was presided over by the Secretary of HU&DD.

Chairman NLCO extended sincere thanks to the Secretary of HU&DD for convening this vital meeting and for the administration’s keen interest in restoring the glory of these crucial waterbodies. He also expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of SMC and the LC&MA for their coordinated efforts and support in this important initiative.
It is pertinent to mention that NLCO under its flagship community led initiative “Mission Ehsaas” is restoring the glory of twin urban lakes of Gilsar and Khushalsar.(KNS)
