Srinagar, July 17 (KNS): People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Spokesperson Rafique Rather has urged the administration to extend summer vacation for schools in light of the ongoing scorching heat wave that is making it unbearable for children, but to all ages and it's very difficult for children to attend schools in such unbearable conditions, as schools are scheduled to reopen from 18th July, Rather emphasized the urgent need to prioritize the health and safety of students.
"The current heat wave is posing severe challenges for our young students, making it extremely difficult for them to cope up with the high temperatures" Mr. Rather stated. Rafique Rather has appealed to the Commissioner Secretary School Education and the Director of School Education Kashmir to extend the summer vacation for a few more days until there is a noticeable change in the weather conditions and expressed hope the concerned authorities will take swift action in the best interest of our students in general.(KNS)
