Rajnath Singh to Brief PM Modi on Jammu and Kashmir Security Situation

New Delhi, April 28 (KNS) : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to brief Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday regarding the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the high-level briefing comes as India contemplates its options to respond to the April 22 attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. With evidence suggesting "cross-border linkages," India has vowed to inflict severe punishment on those responsible, amid widespread condemnation at home and abroad.

"The perpetrators and conspirators of the Pahalgam attack will face the harshest response," the Prime Minister said. "The entire world stands with 140 crore Indians in the fight against terrorism. I assure the affected families that justice will be served," he added.

The Pahalgam tragedy has triggered a strong national sentiment, with the government signaling a no-tolerance approach toward those behind the attack. (KNS)
