Srinagar, August 06 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Political Parties will hold protest on August 08 regarding the restoration of statehood.
An all-party meeting was held at the Congress office in Jammu, with leaders from JKNC, PDP, Congress, Shiv Sena, CPI(M), and others in attendance.
The meeting concluded with a decision to hold a joint protest in Kathua on August 8, calling for the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir.
Representatives from the participating political parties while speaking to reporters said that J&K should be returned to its state status as soon as possible.
They said that political leaders were harassed and detained by the police on August 3.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"We have asked the police to stop this kind of behavior. "We live in a democratic country. We have the right to speak, and we should not lose this right."
They also said that the biggest issue is not about any single party but about the people of Jammu and Kashmir. "We have been made slave laborers. No one listens to us."
Expressing their determination to fight against policies that they believe are undermining the region's autonomy and electoral integrity, they said that the trust in the vote is being destroyed. "We will elect the MLA, but Jammu and Kashmir will be run by the people of Jammu and Kashmir."(KNS)
