Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar on saturday stressed the need for unity, justice, and non-partisan politics while addressing the House.

Sagar said that his statement was a non-partisan articulation of his thoughts. "We lament the loss of all and never remain biased when it comes to humanitarian issues. We respect the dignity of all martyrs across party lines. The mainstream in J&K has a collective responsibility to ensure a peaceful and stable J&K," he said.

He stressed that the sacrifices of innocents, irrespective of religion, caste, and region, should not fall victim to politics. Sagar further highlighted the importance of equal treatment in addressing tragedies and ideologies. "We can't be biased to express outrage at one tragedy and remain silent over the other. We can't be tolerant to one thought and intolerant to another. We can't lament one life and not the other," he stated.

He concluded by emphasizing constitutional values. "We must bind our ways to equality, fraternity, and justice as engraved in our Constitution," he said. (KNS)
