Sadhotra Slams BJP’s hoax ultranationalist, Hindutva agenda, says it jeopardizes national unity

JAMMU APRIL 13 (KNS): Additional General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and former Minister, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, today strongly castigated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its hoax ultranationalist stance and distorted Hindutva agenda, saying that such narratives are not only detrimental to the national interest, but also severely threaten the country’s centuries-old tradition of communal harmony and inclusiveness.

Addressing a public meeting at Haripur in Marh Assembly Constituency which was organised by Sh. Baru Ram Bhagat Ex-Sarpanch District Vice President Rural Jammu, Sadhotra said that BJP’s continued attempts to exploit religious sentiments by playing the Hindu card and targeting minorities were not just politically unethical, but also fundamentally opposed to the very idea of India as envisioned by the framers of the Constitution.

“India is a land of unity in diversity. Our strength lies in the peaceful coexistence of people from different religions, castes, languages, and cultures. Any attempt to create divisions among communities is not only deeply harmful but dangerously regressive,” Mr. Sadhotra said.

He emphasized that India’s progress and global standing have always been rooted in its inclusive ethos. Any political strategy that sows seeds of suspicion and hatred between communities serves only to weaken the social fabric and derail the development agenda, he added.

Calling out BJP’s divisive politics masked in ultra nationalism” Sadhotra said that true nationalism lies in promoting harmony, ensuring justice for all, and safeguarding the rights of every community, not in persecuting minorities or indulging in identity-based polarization for votes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“Creating a wedge among communities may yield short-term electoral gains for BJP, but it will cost the nation dearly in the long run,” he cautioned.

The National Conference Additional General Secretary reiterated that only unity in diversity can steer India forward in the modern world. He urged all right-thinking citizens, especially the youth, to resist divisive forces and stand united in upholding the democratic, pluralistic, and secular values of the Republic.

Sadhotra said that National Conference unwavering is committed to an inclusive, just, and harmonious India, and called upon political parties to engage in issue-based politics rather than resorting to religion-based vote bank tactics.

He said the BJP will not succeed in its machinations of dividing the country on the basis of religion because the Indians are secular which has withstood test of times.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Rakesh Sharma YNC District President, Khajoor Lal Bhagat Ex-Sarpanch, Man Mohan Youth leader, Amreek Singh, Charan Dass Bhagat, Ajeet, Sham Lal Ex-Naib Sarpanch, Swaran Singh Ex-Panch.(KNS)
