Sagar hails Omar government for swift restoration of essential services post Snowfall

Srinagar, 24 Jan: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar Saturday lauded the proactive and committed role of the Omar Abdullah–led government for swiftly restoring essential services across Kashmir in the aftermath of the recent heavy snowfall.

In a press statement issued from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Sagar said the government’s war-footing response brought much-needed relief to people during a challenging period. He particularly appreciated the timely restoration of road connectivity in urban areas, rural belts and far-flung regions that had been cut off due to snow accumulation. He said the prompt clearance of roads ensured the smooth movement of essential supplies and emergency services.

Sagar also commended the efforts of the concerned departments for the rapid restoration of electricity supply saying that uninterrupted power helped normalize daily life and ensured the functioning of critical services during the harsh winter spell.

Sagar urged all National Conference legislators, district presidents, block-level leaders and party office bearers to actively reach out to their respective constituencies, remain accessible to the people and assist in addressing grievances arising from snowfall-related challenges. He emphasised that party representatives must serve as an effective bridge between the administration and the people to ensure timely redressal of genuine issues.
