Sajad Lone alleges punitive transfers in Handwara, Calls It Political Vendetta

Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) President and MLA has accused the administration of using transfers as a tool for political revenge. He claimed that two employees of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department were transferred to distant locations in Handwara on mere suspicion that they voted for his party in the recent elections.

In a strongly worded post on X, he said, "We should acknowledge any good work that the government does. They may not have been able to bring back Article 370. They may not have been able to bring back statehood. They may not have been able to stand up to the LG. They may not have been able to stand up to Delhi. BUT they have started to deliver by going after those Kashmiri Muslims who did not vote for them."

He further alleged that these transfers were carried out under political pressure, stating, "In a great achievement for the government, the PHE bosses were ordered to transfer two employees to far-off places on the suspicion that they might have voted for @JKPCOfficial in Handwara Constituency.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelRevengeful politics that they have practiced all along is back with a bang."

The JKPC chief also claimed to have knowledge of the political and engineering officials behind the move, adding, "I know which political boss called which Engineering boss. Incidentally, the political boss is drowned in unmatched allegations of corruption."

He contrasted the current administration's approach with that of the Lieutenant Governor’s office, remarking, "I have been critical of @OfficeOfLGJandK. But today, I am forced to give him credit. @manojsinha_ had framed a proper transfer policy, and in his time, this whole nonsense of punitive transfers had ended."

Calling the alleged transfers discriminatory, he concluded, "These punitive transfers are meant for Kashmiri Muslims only. They won’t dare do it in Jammu. Out there, of course, it will be raining shawls." (KNS)
