Handwara, Feb 13 (KNS): MLA Handwara and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) chief Sajad Lone has strongly condemned the sealing of Jamia Masjid on the auspicious night of Shab-e-Barat, terming it a "gross interference in religious matters."
In a statement, Lone said that this religious practice has continued unhindered for centuries, with devotees eagerly awaiting the occasion to congregate. Expressing his dismay, Lone hoped for the return of the "good old days" when religious occasions remained undisturbed. He urged authorities to respect the religious sentiments of the people and allow them to observe their faith without interference. (KNS)
