Kulgam, Sep,13 (KNS) : Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo Saturday visited K.B Pora area of Kulgam and held a massive Public Darbar to address public issues and take stock of developmental needs of locals.

Addressing a large gathering on the occasion, the Minister emphasized on the importance of responsive administration, adding that the Chief Minister has established a dedicated mechanism ‘Raabta Public Outreach Office’ to address the issues and grievances of people.

“Our priority is to ensure that every citizen, regardless of their location, has access to quality healthcare services and other basic necessities. Today’s Public Darbar is a testament to our commitment to transparent governance, accountability, and rapid response to public concerns”, Minister Sakeena stated.

She added that the aim of Government is to ensure that no voice from any corner goes unheard, adding that K.B Pora and all its adjacent areas deserve the same attention and developmental thrust.

During the Public Darbar, Sakeena Itoo also interacted with local residents and took stock of their pressing issues and demands. Locals on the occasion raised various issues like upgradation of K.B Pora–Hawkwass road, establishment of a JK Bank branch and ATM, upgradation of Girls Middle School, staff augmentation at health centres and educational institutions, library and reading room, marriage hall, public park, and playground.

The Minister, while interacting with public delegations, assured them that their genuine issues would be redressed promptly. She also called upon officers to conduct periodic reviews and field visits in far-flung areas to effectively monitor public welfare services.

Earlier the Health Minister also visited Primary Health Centre (PHC) K.B Pora and dedicated an Analyser machine for the public use.(KNS)
