Karnah Kupwara: (KNS) In a significant move to address the longstanding issues faced by pilgrims and tourists visiting the historic Sharda Temple at Teetwal, Ravinder Pandita, Head and Founder of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd, met with Sh. Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in New Delhi yesterday.
During the meeting, Pandita extended an invitation to the Chief Secretary for the upcoming Sharda Divas celebrations on 11 September at Teetwal. He also presented a comprehensive list of demands aimed at improving infrastructure and facilities at Teetwal to enhance the visitor experience.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelKey demands include the extension of the National Highway to Teetwal from Chamkote, expediting the construction of the Sadhna Pass tunnel, installation of a full-body scanner at the site, upgrading water supply and electricity facilities, and the establishment of a Yatri Niwas.
The Chief Secretary assured the Save Sharda Committee that all concerns would be addressed promptly, emphasizing the government’s commitment to boosting border tourism and preserving the cultural and religious heritage of the region.(KNS)
