Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): At the prize distribution ceremony of the Seerah competition held at the historic Jama Masjid, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq described it as a remarkable event, bringing together over 500 students from various maktabs of Shahre Khas. He congratulated the organizers, Maktaba Maseehul Ummah, for their commendable efforts and praised the volunteers and sponsors for their valuable support in making the event a success.

Mirwaiz emphasized the essential role of mosques and maktabs in fostering faith and knowledge, stressing that mosques should not only serve as places of worship but also as centers for learning and character building. Highlighting the significance of following the Prophet’s teachings, Mirwaiz stated that the best response to those who attempt to hurt our sentiments by speaking against the Prophet is to embody his values and way of life and commit to following his Seerah.
