Srinagar, Oct 10 (KNS): Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s 16 Corps, conducted a visit to the forward areas of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday to assess the security situation and review operational readiness. Accompanied by the GOC of the Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), the senior officer inspected key positions at Dera Ki Gali.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sachdeva commended the troops for their high morale and unwavering dedication to counter-insurgency operations. The previous day, Lt Gen Sachdeva also visited the forward areas of Pallanwala and Akhnoor in Jammu district. There, he reviewed the operational preparedness of the anti-infiltration grid and praised the troops for their diligence in ensuring robust defense measures against infiltration attempts. The visit underscores the Army's focus on fortifying security along critical border regions.(KNS)
