Severe potholes plague bemina road stretch, causing traffic disruptions & commuter frustration

Srinagar, Aug 14 (KNS): A critical road segment between Bemina Bypass and Bemina Crossing is severely affected by large potholes, leading to major traffic disruptions and widespread commuter frustration. The worsening condition of this essential route has led to frequent traffic jams and increased concerns about vehicle damage.
Local scooter rider Asim Shabir expressed his frustrations: "The potholes on this road are enormous and very problematic for riders like me. Maneuvering through them is not only inconvenient but also dangerous. I'm constantly worried about damaging my scooter or getting into an accident."
The road’s deteriorating state has progressively worsened, contributing to regular congestion and significant vehicle wear and tear, especially for two-wheelers.

Despite recent government efforts to improve roads in the area, this stretch remains neglected.
Residents and commuters are calling on higher authorities for immediate action to address the problem.
Zahoor Ahmad, a local resident, emphasized the urgency: "While we appreciate the government's work on other roads, this stretch has been ignored. The vehicle damage and traffic jams are becoming unbearable. We urge LG Manoj Sinha and the Chief Secretary to address this issue promptly and speed up the repair process."
The community is hopeful that their appeal will prompt the authorities to prioritize repairs and enhance the road conditions, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for everyone.(KNS)
