Srinagar March 19 (KNS): YJKPC President Mudasir Karim, today condemned the denial of fundamental rights to Shia employees, who are being forced to work on Navroz, a sacred day of celebration and renewal.
According to a statement issued to KNS reads that "It's shocking to see Shia employees being denied their fundamental right to observe Navroz," Mudasir said. "I urge the government to take immediate action and ensure equal rights for all citizens, regardless of their faith or background."
Mudasir's statement comes amid reports of Shia employees being coerced into working on 21st March, Navroz, despite it being a significant religious holiday. This blatant disregard for Shia rights is a clear case of selective equality, where Shia lives and beliefs are marginalized.

"The government must take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that Shia employees are given the same rights and respect as employees of other faiths," Mudasir added.
Mudasir's demand for equal rights is grounded in the fundamental rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution, which guarantees equality and freedom of religion to all citizens.
"We will continue to fight for the rights of marginalized communities and ensure that their voices are heard," Mudasir said. "It's time for the government to take concrete steps towards promoting inclusivity, diversity, and social justice."(KNS)
