ADGP Kumar, IGP and Div Com Kashmir Oversee Arrangements, Ensure Peaceful Observance of 10th Muharram
Srinagar, July 17(KNS): The traditional Zuljanah procession of Shia mourners marking Youm-e-Ashura commenced from Bota Kadal to Zadibal, Srinagar under heavy security on Wednesday morning.
Witnesses reported hundreds of mourners accompanying the Zuljanah. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law and Order, Vijay Kumar and IGP Kashmir visited the Zadibal area on Youm-e-Ashura to oversee the arrangements and paid homage to the Karbala martyrs.

They assured that adequate measures had been implemented to ensure a smooth observance of Youm-e-Ashura.
The IGP Kashmir said that comprehensive measures had been taken to prevent any inconvenience to the mourners during the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri also visited the area to review arrangements for the 10th Muharram.
He emphasized that all arrangements, including water facilities, electricity, and medical services, have been implemented to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of all religious gatherings and processions.(KNS).
