Baramulla, January 22 (KNS): A Special Block Divas program was today held at Wagoora Kreeri under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, aimed at addressing public grievances and promoting inclusive governance at the grassroots level.
The program witnessed active participation from local residents of Wagoora Kreeri and adjacent areas, along with officers from various line departments. Residents raised several pressing issues, including the upgradation of healthcare facilities, improvement in drinking water supply, macadamization of roads, upgradation of irrigation facilities, and other local concerns. Several issues were resolved on the spot by the DC, while others were referred to the concerned departments for timely redressal.
Addressing the gathering, DC Minga Sherpa emphasized that the primary objective of the Block Divas initiative is to bring governance closer to the people. Public representatives and locals residents expressed their gratitude to the administration for organizing the event and appreciated the efforts to bring governance to the doorstep of the people.
