Spring Restoration Brings New Life to Baghi Chadpora, Harwan

 Srinagar, Nov 28(KNS): In a significant stride towards environmental restoration, a spring at Baghi Chadpora, Harwan, has been successfully rejuvenated under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAOP).

Once a dumping yard overwhelmed with Harwan’s waste, the spring has now been transformed into a clean and thriving water source, thanks to the efforts of the City Roads Division Srinagar (SMC) and active community participation.

The initiative, led by Executive Engineer Er. Imtiaz Ahmad, was lauded by environmentalist Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, Chairman of Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), who was invited to visit the site. Wangnoo described the restoration as a remarkable example of collective effort and called for similar initiatives to be replicated across the region.
