Srinagar,May 17 (KNS) : Police in Srinagar organised a T-10 COSCO Cricket Tournament in Downtown Srinagar under the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police. The event saw 10 teams from District Srinagar compete in league matches held at venues including Redpora and Islamia College, Hawal.
The final match took place today at Islamia College, where Wazpora XI defeated Palpora XI to win the tournament. Dr. Tahmina Yousuf, Principal of Islamia College, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, which was presided over by SP North City Srinagar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSDPO Khanyar, SDPO MR Gunj, and SHOs of Sub-Division Khanyar were also present.
Mementos, cash prizes, medals, sports items and playing kits were awarded to the teams and players. All participants from the 10 teams received cricket uniforms to support their sporting endeavors.
The tournament aimed to promote sportsmanship and community engagement among the youth of Srinagar, reflecting J&K Police’s commitment to fostering positive community relations.(KNS)
