Srinagar Records 2nd Highest Minimum Temperature in 132 Years

Srinagar, July 29(KNS): Srinagar has recorded a minimum temperature of 24.8°C, marking the 2nd highest minimum temperature in 132 years. 

 
Today’s temperature is 6.0°C above normal and ties with the 2nd all-time highest minimum temperature, which was also recorded on July 26, 2021. The highest minimum temperature remains 25.2°C, recorded on July 21, 1988.
 
The forecast indicates generally cloudy weather with intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers across Kashmir Division and widespread areas of Jammu Division from July 29-31.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFrom August 1-4, similarly cloudy conditions with intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at many places in Kashmir and most areas in Jammu Division.
 
Intense showers are anticipated briefly, with the possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas, and heavy rainfall expected in some places in Jammu Division. A significant drop in daytime temperatures is expected starting July 29.(KNS).
