Srinagar March 01 (KNS): In order to review the crime/security scenario of Police District Handwara, SSP Handwara Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhury-JKPS chaired a meeting at Conference Hall DPO Handwara.

The primary focus of the meeting was on the implementation of new criminal laws, addressing issues related to NDPS, UAPA and assessing the overall security scenario in the Police district.

During the meeting, SSP Handwara emphasized the importance of efficient law enforcement, proper investigation procedures and the swift disposal of cases in line with the newly introduced criminal laws. He directed officers to ensure a proactive approach in dealing with drug-related offenses under the NDPS Act and stressed the need for strict action against individuals involved in unlawful activities under the UAPA.

He also urged officers to stay updated on legal amendments and ensure that investigations are conducted in a professional and legally sound manner.
