Doda ,July 27 (KNS) :- Former MP Ch Lal Singh has blamed BJP of deliberately delaying the restoration of statehood to J&K in order to continue to rule by proxy and loot the natural resources, which is right of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a well attended gathering of people and Congress workers at Kastigarh of DCC Doda Doda as part of party's campaign ' Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq ', in which DDC member satosh Devi alongwith several supporters joined party, Ch Lal Singh lashed out at BJP govt at the centre for the betrayal of the people after getting mandate from Jammu region on the promise of restoring our dogra state, immediately after Assembly elections but even after more than ten month of elections Modi government is silent on its repeated promises and ignoring the most rightful demand of people.

Senior congress leader said Congress will intensify the struggle for statehood after highly successful Delhi Chalo call and protest at Janatar Mantir and expressed gratitude to the national leadership of party for extending whole hearted support to the movement and legitimate demand of people of J&K. He demanded immediate bringing legislation to restore full statehood to J&K or face agitation.
Several senior leaders addressed the gathering and asked people to support the struggle of Congress party for getting back state as six years have lapsed when state was downgraded while centre government promised to restore the same in near future and Supreme Court directing restoration of statehood "as soon as possible.(KNS)
