Srinagar, 09 Sept (KNS) : The J&K National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Wednesday distributed two electric scooters, computers, laptops, hearing machines and an electric wheelchair among deserving and needy individuals of his constituency at a function held in Doonipora, Zadibal.

In a statement issued, , Tanvir said that it has always been his endeavour to stand by people who need support, particularly educated girls, the elderly, persons with disabilities and families facing difficulties.

Sharing the thought behind the initiative, he said, “One of our daughters needed an electric scooter because of her physical disability, which was making it difficult for her to travel to university. I had promised her that I would help, and today I am happy that I could keep that promise.”

Similarly, a student in need of a computer for her studies was provided one, while another family was supported with an electric scooter to help with the daily commute of their children to school.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelA hearing machine was provided to an elderly person, while an electric wheelchair was given to a young child to help him move around with greater independence and dignity.

Tanvir said such initiatives were close to his heart and that he would continue to extend support wherever possible.

“Sometimes, we have to step forward with our own resources so that people do not have to remain dependent on government schemes or wait for assistance. Even a small gesture can make a meaningful difference to someone’s life,” he said.

He wished all the beneficiaries well and urged them to make the best possible use of the assistance provided to them.

He further said that another such public assistance programme would be held next week in the Rainawari-Dargah Block.
