Srinagar, July 7 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised Bollywood's significant contribution to Indian cinema and society, highlighting the emotional relationship between the film industry and Jammu and Kashmir.
"Bollywood has been instrumental in showcasing India's rich cultural heritage, and Kashmir's beauty has been an integral part of that journey,"Sinha said.
He congratulated Amitabh Bachchan on the launch of his book "Golden Cinema of the 70s", saying, "The decade of the 70s is a turning point in Bollywood's history, and this book captures that era beautifully."
Sinha appreciated the efforts of filmmakers like Kubod Mukherjee, Shakti Samand, and Suraj Prakash in showcasing Kashmir's cultural heritage.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the role of writers like Gopaldas Neeraj, Manu Bhandari, and Amrita Pritam in shaping Indian literature and cinema.
"The film world has definitely contributed to the development of the nation, and it continues to play a vital role in shaping our society,"Sinha emphasized according to KNS correspondent.
The event highlighted the significant role Kashmir has played in shaping Indian cinema and culture, and the need to continue showcasing its beauty and heritage to the world.
"Even in Ganga and Jhelum, there is a fire. Someone should tell where to go and take a bath. Now there should be a movement in which a person should be made a human. I see it as a balance," Sinha said, quoting Gopaldas Neeraj's lines.KNS)
