Kulgam, Dec 12(KNS): Three residential houses were severely damaged in a fire that broke out early Thursday morning in the Poniwah area of Kulgam.
The blaze, which started around 3 AM, spread quickly to adjacent houses, causing significant damage and losses.
Fire tenders were dispatched to the site immediately after the incident was reported. Despite their efforts, the fire gutted valuables, including cash and gold. Tehsildar Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad, visited the affected families on the direction of the District Commissioner and provided immediate relief. He assured the victims that additional assistance would be delivered within the next two days.
The district administration has pledged full support to the affected families and committed to providing continued aid as they recover from the tragedy.(KNS).
