Srinagar, Aug 08(KNS) Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh, stated on Thursday that the tourism industry in Kashmir has significantly improved following the abrogation of Article 370.
Speaking with the Kashmir News Service, Singh who is on his two days visit to Kashmir emphasized the remarkable growth in tourism since the legal changes.
Singh outlined that the Indian government is actively working on expanding and developing additional tourist destinations across the Kashmir Valley. The goal is to attract more international tourists to the region.

During a recent review meeting with the Tourism Department and other relevant agencies, Singh discussed several key issues affecting tourism. The meeting focused on strategies to enhance connectivity and infrastructure to remote and less-accessible tourist locations within the valley. Singh highlighted the importance of improving transportation networks and other facilities to better serve tourists and encourage more visitors to explore the region’s diverse attractions.
He said that the focus on infrastructure and connectivity improvements is expected to support the region's economic growth and enhance the overall visitor experience.(KNS).
