The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has reported a considerable increase in the number of bookings for hotels, houseboats, and other accommodations, indicating a positive trend in the travel sector.
While the festive season has contributed to the rise in tourism, the authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety and security of both tourists and locals.

J&K's Tourism Secretary, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, expressed satisfaction with the thriving tourism in the region.

Shah highlighted a notable increase in both foreign and domestic tourist arrivals, crediting stakeholders for revitalizing tourism.
“The sold-out status of Gulmarg and Pahalgam during the festive season underscores the positive trajectory of winter tourism,” Shah said. (KNS)
