Training course of Equines conducted at Army veterinary Hospital

Srinagar March 17 (KNS): A two week internship programme, organised by Chinar Corps for 76 interns of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) course for students of Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) at Army Veterinary Hospital, Haft Chinar Srinagar terminated on 17 Mar 25. Throughout the duration of the programme, interns were immersed in a dynamic environment where they gained hand-on experience, honed their skills, and expanded their knowledge under the guidance of seasoned professionals from the Remount and Veterinary Corps of Indian Army.

Dr Shayaib Ahmad Kamil, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, SKUAST Kashmir attended the closing ceremony as guest of honour. The Internship Training Programme has not only equipped the interns with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields but has also fostered lasting connections and friendships that will endure beyond the confines of the hospital walls. The Indian Army’s ongoing partnership with SKUAST highlights its commitment to Nation Building, community development and youth empowerment. In the end Commandant, Army Veterinary Hospital, Srinagar extended heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
