Two Foreign Terrorists Killed, Four JKP Jawans Martyred in Kathua Operation: DGP

Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS):  Two foreign (Pakistani) terrorists were killed in an ongoing anti-terror operation in Kathua district, while four Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) personnel were martyred, Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat said on Thursday.


The encounter erupted in the forested area of Kathua after security forces launched a search operation based on intelligence inputs about militant movement. The operation, involving JKP’s Special Operations Group (SOG), the Army, and CRPF, led to a fierce exchange of gunfire.

DGP Prabhat reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating, “We are the only police force that will always be remembered in history and the future for our bravery, commitment, and duty towards the nation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He added that retrieving the bodies of the martyred personnel was the top priority.

The operation in Kathua remains active as security forces continue their efforts to neutralize any remaining threats (KNS)
