Two foreign terrorists killed in separate gunfights in Kashmir : Officials

 Srinagar, Nov 06(KNS): Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed two foreign terrorists in separate anti-terror operations on Wednesday in the Bandipora and Kupwara districts of north Kashmir.

An Army spokesperson confirmed that one terrorist was neutralized during an ongoing operation in Bandipora, which had been launched after a fierce firefight broke out on Monday afternoon in the Kaitsan forest area, where terrorists were hiding.

In a separate operation in Kupwara’s Lolab region, the Army made contact with terrorists hiding in the area, leading to another firefight. The operation ended successfully with the elimination of one terrorist.

The security forces recovered an M-4 Rifle and AK rifle, two hand grenades, four magazines, ammunition, and other war-like materials from the killed terrorists.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The operation had been initiated on November 5, based on specific intelligence about terrorist presence.

The identity of the killed terrorists is still being determined.

Since October 28, the Army has eliminated six terrorists in three operations across Jammu and Kashmir.

In a related development, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, speaking at a gathering in Baramulla, issued a stern warning to those supporting terrorism in the region.

He emphasized that those who promote violence and disrupt peace would face severe consequences, stressing that no one would be spared.(KNS).
