Valley of Humanity: Budgam Locals Unite to Rescue Injured BSF Personnel

Budgam, Sept 23( KNS ): In a heartwarming display of solidarity, locals in Brell Watarhail of Budgam district sprang into action to rescue BSF personnel after their bus plummeted into a gorge on Friday.

At least four BSF troopers lost their lives, and 32 others were injured in the tragic accident, which occurred while the personnel were en route for election duty.


Brell Waterhail resident and local volunteer was among the first responders who rushed to the scene and wished not to be named, "We immediately rushed to aid the injured personnel. It was a chaotic situation, but our priority was to get them medical attention as quickly as possible."

"The community came together to help the BSF troopers, demonstrating the true spirit of humanity," said a Budgam district official.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as devastating, with the bus lying mangled at the bottom of the gorge. "It was a horrific sight, but the locals' swift response helped save precious lives," said an eyewitness according to KNS correspondent.


The injured personnel were rushed to nearby hospitals, where they are receiving treatment.

Meanwhile IGP Kashmir and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir also visited the injured in the hospital and assured them of best possible treatment. (KNS).
