Water Supply Alert Issued in Tangmarg Amid High Turbidity in Ferozpora Nallah

Tangmarg, April 19 (KNS): The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Sub Division Tangmarg on Friday issued an important advisory for residents, alerting them to high turbidity levels in the Ferozpora Nallah — the primary source of drinking water for the area. The rise in turbidity has been caused by ongoing heavy rainfall and flash floods in the upstream region.

Authorities have cautioned that due to the prevailing conditions, a temporary suspension of water supply might become necessary to prevent the risk of waterborne diseases.

The department has strongly advised residents to boil all drinking water until further notice as a safety measure.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“We are continuously monitoring the turbidity levels and will restore regular water supply as soon as the water quality falls back within safe and acceptable limits,” said the Assistant Executive Engineer of the PHE Sub Division Tangmarg.

For any queries or assistance, residents can reach out to the control room on the following numbers,7006048303 & 9055230072.

The department has also expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation during this period. (KNS)
