Srinagar, March 9 (KNS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecasted a wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir from March 9 to 16, with intermittent rain and snowfall expected in several areas. The department has also issued an advisory for travelers, farmers, and residents, urging caution during this period.
According to the MeT Centre Srinagar, light rain and snow are possible at scattered places towards the night of March 9. On March 10, many places are likely to experience light to moderate rain and snowfall, particularly in higher reaches. The weather is expected to remain unsettled on March 11, with isolated to scattered rain and snow showers.

In light of the forecast, the department has issued a travel advisory, urging tourists, travelers, and transporters to follow official traffic updates and safety guidelines. Farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural operations from March 10 to 16 to avoid damage due to wet weather conditions. Additionally, people have been cautioned against venturing into avalanche-prone and steep slopes, particularly in higher altitudes.
Authorities have urged residents to stay updated with weather alerts and take necessary precautions to avoid disruptions due to rain and snow. (KNS)
