‘Dream big, as big as you can'. For dreams do not bind one down to reality, to the limited world of possibilities where there is paucity of resources like money, time and opportunity to create anything unimaginable. One can be as imaginative as one dares to. The more creative, unreasonable and impossible the dream the greater will be the impact of it when it comes into existence!
Everyone has dreams. We all want to make something of ourselves yet it’s only a tiny percentage of people who triumph. The self-help world encourages us to “Think Big”, “Follow Your Passion”, “Live as if there was no such thing as failure” and it usually just leads to keep people stuck in a dream state, wishing, hoping and fantasizing yet never actually moving forward.
Why is this? Dreaming big is just one part of the equation. This lost piece in the jigsaw is a bias towards colossal action. Big Dreams + Little Action = disappointment and dissatisfaction.
Thinking and dreaming big must match with the equal and equivalent amount of action for it to go anywhere. When you combine big thinking with massive action you will be surprised at how much you are capable of, once you tap into the power of momentum.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
When I look back on my own life, anything I have ever achieved that was worthwhile did take an extraordinary amount of effort. Anytime I have ever coasted or done a “normal” amount of work, I would fall short of my target and feel the pain of frustration and disappointment which lead to reducing my targets.
People fail because they operate at the wrong degree of actions, most of the people stop by reducing their targets, we should never reduce our target instead increase our actions. When we start rethinking our target, making up excuses and letting ourselves off the hook, we are giving up on our dreams.
Most of us are taught from an early age to think and do things similarly as everyone else. This can be great to fill an existing role. But to truly do things differently (and all successful people did things differently), you need to think differently.
If you have a new idea, don’t throw it away because it’s new and different; instead, celebrate it. Your strange new idea might one day be the one that leads you to success.
