Winter Coaching Centres Resume in Kashmir: Education Minister


Srinagar, Jan 2 (KNS): The Minister for Health and Education, Sakeena Itoo, announced the reopening of winter coaching centres in Kashmir Valley, which were earlier shut.

 Addressing reporters at SKICC on Thursday, Itoo confirmed that the government has recently issued an order to resume these centres, ensuring students can continue their studies during the winter months.

Shifting focus to the health sector, the minister highlighted the pressing issue of inadequate medical staff in the valley. While a significant number of buildings have been constructed under the health sector, many remain non-functional due to the unavailability of doctors. "Unless we have sufficient doctors available at these health centres, the health and education department will not take over these buildings," Itoo stated. (KNS)
