Srinagar, March 3 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Tariq Karra has reiterated the demand for the revival of the democratic system and the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Karra emphasized the need for fulfilling promises made to the people.
Karra questioned the unfulfilled commitments of the government, particularly regarding elections in Jammu and Kashmir. “The Prime Minister had once assured that elections would be held simultaneously, but that did not happen. Promises remain unfulfilled, and assurances have turned into mere statements,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He further stated that discussions on issues outlined in party manifestos, as well as those of alliance partners, would take place. However, he cautioned that if major obstacles persist, the restoration of statehood and the implementation of business rules will remain uncertain.
Karra’s remarks highlight the ongoing political uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir, with statehood and democratic revival remaining key demands of regional political parties. (KNS)
