Sonmarg, Jan 12 (KNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah highlighted the transformative potential of the Z-Morh tunnel for local residents and Tourism potential of Sonamarg.
He emphasized the tunnel’s role in improving accessibility, boosting tourism, and enhancing the lives of local residents.
“We have been waiting for this tunnel for a long time. It will bring many benefits. People who live on the other side of the Z-Mor, and who had to leave the area in the winter, can now stay there for a year. Along with that, Sonmarg, which was previously a tourist destination only for summers, will now attract tourists in winter as well,” the CM told KNS.
