Major Boost to Youth Empowerment and Nation Building in J&K and Ladakh

Udhampur, July 26 (KNS): The Zorawar NCC Training Academy, a modern training facility for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, was inaugurated today in Udhampur by Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General, JK&L NCC.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Brigadier D.N. Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Ms. Saloni Rai, and several senior officials from the civil administration, defence services, and the education sector.
Named after the legendary Dogra warrior, the Zorawar Academy is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing youth development and promoting national integration in the region. The facility can accommodate and train up to 400 cadets at a time and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to support holistic NCC training.

"This academy will serve as a crucial platform for nurturing young minds, instilling discipline, and enabling youth to contribute meaningfully to the nation," he said.
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the collective efforts of stakeholders in making the project a reality. She said the academy would play a pivotal role in empowering youth with leadership skills, discipline, and patriotism.
The event was attended by ANOs, CTOs, school principals, and a large number of cadets. All attendees unanimously praised the initiative, terming it a landmark step in strengthening the NCC’s presence and impact in the region.
