Srinagar, Mar 03 (KNS): The passengers who were travelling from Jammu-Srinagar on Friday alleged that the authorities of Indigo airlines refused to issue boarding pass to their children for not producing the identity proofs.
According to KNS correspondent, the passengers alleged that the authorities refused to issue boarding passes of their children who had to travel from Jammu to Srinagar (Flight 6E 554) for not producing identify proofs.
The passengers said that the Indigo authorities had asked them to produce identity cards of their children (3-7 years-old). The families later staged protest against ‘illogical’ demand of the Indigo authorities.
The passengers said that one among the families contacted the Director General of Police (DGP) who later intervened into the matter and solved their problem.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Airport Jammu, Rajender Kumar Gupta while talking to KNS said that the issue has been resolved at the same time. “The families approached me in this regard and the issue has been resolved,” he said.
He said that the identity of the children travelling from any part of the country is important. (KNS)
