Gulmarg, Mar 20 (KNS): Chief Commissioner of J&K scouts & Guides, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah on Monday expressed his gratitude that 15 days scout festival has attracted world attention.
In a statement to KNS, he lambasted section of National and International media which feels sadistic pleasure in projecting Kashmir black to world and their eyes are blind to witness on shinning and Sheen white turf of Gulmarg the skiing and scout skills of J&K scouts who establishing their mettle in skiing and other fields of scouting more better than world champions.
He appreciated Ram Chiller and Ramesh Prasana, the Asian heads of Delphic international which is of the status of Olympic for coming to Gulmarg only to witness extraordinary success of 15 days JK scouts festival in isolated Gulmarg, which is unnecessary being painted black by Section of National/international media because of turmoil in Kashmir.
Renzushah said that it is not only unfortunate for Kashmir but for our country as well as for world that because of negative perception no tourist or world organization is coming to Gulmarg. “Now JK scouts I & Guides has proved to world with success of 15 days Scout festival where large number of scouts were trained in skiing skill in institute of Mountaineering headed by Dhilon in international standard of skiing,” he added.
Renzushah chief commissioner gave them awards on the occasion.
Asian heads of Delphic impressed with contributions of jk scouts for last two decades included JK scouts with Delphic Games Arts and cultural on Olympic standard.
Both chiller and Prasana presented description of such programmes which have been organized in Paris, Germany, USA and other countries.
Showkat chairman of Green Field School Budgam and Alama Iqbal institute whose students excelled in skiing were highly appreciated.
Guard of honor was presented along with JK scout right salute led by Irshad and Anwar on the occasion. (KNS)
