Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNS): PDP MLA Poonch Shah Muhammad Tantray visited far flung areas of his constituency and assured the residents to address their grievances.
Locals said that Tantray is the first legislator to visit the areas since 1947. The legislator visited Julhas, Slotri, Pera, Pathan, Sar, Kbi, Nari
While addressing the people in these areas, Tantray said that the aim of the PDP-led government is to provide basic facilities to the people at the doorstep.
He announced that Public school Julhas will be upgraded to High school and a new transformer will be installed in Pehra from his CDF and the roads from Pehra to Patian and Lakhman shall be taken up for development very shortly.
Complimenting the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for approving the regularisation policy for daily wagers and workers, the legislator said that the government is working for providing employment opportunities to the unemployed youths.
During the visit, several prominent political activists joined PDP among which Kapil Sharma along with his along with his tens of workers.
Others who spoke included PDP senior leaders Captain Datta, Prof Mogal, Choudhary Mohammad Shafi Melo, Haji Choudhary Rashid Tantray.
The MLA with his supporters visited Salonian village where in a rousing reception was accorded to him .
People thanked the MLA for visiting the area and ensuring macadamization of road upto Jaba village. (KNS)
